Locks have always been a symbol of love and connectivity. In fact, sweethearts around the world symbolically attach locks to landmarks such as a romantic bridge, fence, or gate representing their true love together. This tradition dates back 100 years to a Serbian Tale where the bridge Most Ljubavi (Bride of Love) is located. A couple by the name of Nada and Relja used to meet on the bridge and inevitably became seperated and Nada was left heartbroken. It was in that heartbreak that others shared the story and began to attach padlocks to the bridge symbolically protecting their loves and locking them in place forever. And then in the early 2000s, padlocks began to appear attached to different landmarks all throughout Europe as a symbol of eternal love... hence... Love Locks.
